The Vocational Training Authority (VTA) has an established Technical Training Centre that trains artisans and offers Trade Test Prep and Trade Testing in various technical and mechanical fields.

VTA is fully accredited by NAMB and merSETA for various technical qualifications as a training provider for the following trades:

• Motor Mechanic
• Diesel Mechanic
• Automotive Electrician
• Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic

These are offered either as an apprenticeship or learner-ship programmes, depending on your organisation’s needs. Companies have the opportunity to register employees, apprentices, or unemployed people in the community on our programmes, and benefit by claiming from the Skill Levy already paid monthly. Organisations are also eligible to apply for grants from their SETAs and claim for tax breaks.

VTA also offers ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) training. The ICDL is the world’s leading end-user computer certification programme that is recognised internationally.

We offer competitive industry rates and in addition have industry leading facilities, tools, equipment and highly experienced trainers. In addition to this our learner groups are kept relatively small thus ensuring that learners have the best possible opportunity for success in their chosen trade.
